Win Passes to Watch The Kings & Queens of Comedy 3!

From the show that created a sensation in the entertainment scene in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, the “Kings and Queen of Comedy Asia” (K&Q) is back, bringing the best Asian comedy talents from around the world!

The inaugural show in October 2010 was the first of its kind and a runaway success with sold out shows in the Plenary Hall, KLCC and Singapore Conference Hall. The second instalment of the show, Kings And Queen Of Comedy Asia 2 in November 2011, recorded an attendance record of 7,800 over four shows in KL and Singapore. The show was a full production with launch and closing gambit, multimedia integration, high-definition live feed, lights and sound extravaganza.

This year, the third installment brings two great line-ups of comedians!

Jonathan Atherton (Australia via Siglap)
Singapore’s very own Laugh Guru and founder of The Comedy Club Asia. An accomplished and well-traveled comedian, he speaks Malay, German, Thai, Swahili and more.

Kumar (SIN)
A monarch of mirth who requires no introduction, Kumar is the reigning Queen of Lion City Comedy. She is a virtual icon known throughout the region, and will have you bursting your bra with laughter. And the women will love it too.

Vir Das (IND)
The brains behind the Vir Das (Weirdass) Comedy Company. A tireless and dedicated performer, Vir has appeared in 7 Bollywood movies, 35 plays, over 100 stand-up comedy shows, 8 TV shows and 6 comedy specials.

Shazia Mirza (UK)
Shazia is an award-winning stand up comedian and writer. She has appeared in numerous TV shows and is a columnist for the Guardian and The New Statesman. In 2009, she was listed on the inaugural Muslim Women’s Power list (Top 20 Successful women in the UK).

Ron Josol (CAN/PHI)
This Canadian Filipino represents the voice of the new generation of comedy and is one of the hottest acts around the globe. He is a competition winner at the Just For Laughs festival and a nominee for Live/Best Male Stand-up in the Canadian Comedy Awards.

Ron Josol (CAN)
Ron has been cited as “A must see comedian” by The New York Times and has solidified himself as one of Asia’s most talented comedians after performing with many of the greats such as Sugar Sammy, Jo Koy and Russell Peters. Ron is one of the most recognizable comedian in Canada and was profiled on Comedy Network, Showtime Dubai and MTV Canada. Noticed by Hollywood in 2009, he then filmed his first United States national spot on LOL Comedy Festival on Showtime USA. Ron is recently nominated as “Best Male Stand-Up” in the Canadian Comedy Awards.

Max Amini (USA)
American born, Iranian, Max Amini holds true to the wave of Middle Eastern comedians taking the world by storm. Max has toured the US, the UK, Dubai and Canada to amazing reviews selling in venue of thousands of comedy fans. He is also an actor and has worked together with Omid Djalili in the English comedy movie “The Infidel” and made appearances in “Heroes” and “The Nick Cannon Show”. He taped his first set on Showtime in 2009 and was chosen for the CBS Diversity Comedy Showcase earlier this year. Max is a fast rising comic to watch out for.

Papa CJ (IND)
Papa CJ is considered one of the most influential comedians in the world and is rated as India’s No.1 stand-up comedian by Times Magazine. Since obtaining international fame in 2008 as a finalist in “Last Comic Standing”, Papa CJ has been on tour, performing sell out shows across four continents. Some of his latest projects include “Just For Laughs Canada” on Comedy Central and Showtime USA Stand Up Special with Russell Peters. This is a comic worth traveling for.

Douglas Lim (MAS)
Singer, writer, actor and comedian, Douglas Lim is well known among many Malaysians as one of the best comedic talent in the country. Versatile and well-rounded, Douglas has starred in many TV shows (‘Kopitiam’ and ‘Spontan’), theatre (“Cuci the Musical” and “Lat The Musical”) and even wrote his own sitcom in the recently launched “Small Mission Enterprise”. But Douglas is most comfortable as a stand-up comedian where he is free to crack jokes at things he doesn’t like. This naturally funny man shows his comedic prowess in his sold out show “MACC” and the dozens of other comedy shows he has performed in – to the delight of his many fans.

Shazia Mirza (GBR)
Born in Great Britain to Pakistani parents, Shazia Mirza is a name known to many as an award winning standup comedian. A consistent columnist for newspapers such as The Guardian and The Herald, she has also made numerous television appearances on, CBS’s “60 Minutes”, NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and BBC’s “Have I Got News for You”. Her comedy tour has spanned all over the globe, from the US, Sweden, Denmark, France, Holland and Germany.
