Diarra, a native Detroiter, studied drama at NYU's Tisch school of the Arts. She's received critical acclaim as a regular on the Los Angeles theater scene. Diarra recently created the role of "Carla" in the world premier of Erik Patterson's SICK. Other favorite theater roles include "Jaspora", in the world premier of Oliver Mayer's Laws of Sympathy, "Ann" in The Robey Theater's, The River Niger, and "Grace" in The Piano Lesson . . TV/Film credits include, Private Practice, The Game, House, Young and the Restless and Hollywood, Je'Taime.Diarra is the youngest person to receive an NAACP Theater Award Nomination for Best Playwright for her one woman show, The Devil Is Beating his Wife. She is also the author of the online column The Adventures of Blacktress. Favorite hobbies include eating turkey burgers, cuddling, and shoe shopping. She also loves working with kids and teaches dance, theater, and writing classes throughout Los Angeles Unified School District.
