As a child she would bang on the piano, but that lead to musical theater and future stardom.

Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and the Beatles were among the musical greats that the young Gaga drank in.

Although she couldn't hit E-flat quite right in her audition, the 13-year-old Gaga impressed a voice coach enough for him to take her to the next level.

Once she could afford to be on her own, she moved to the Lower East Side and played 90 minute live shows. Maybe she was on to something.

Gaga says that her fearlessness and bravery come from her fans. And she's certainly needed it.

Although she's become immensely famous, Gaga says it's all nothing compared to what her parents and grandparents went through.

Although she gets homesick for New York, Lady Gaga can just hop on a bike or look up in the sky for some quick and easy perspective on life.
