With the launch of World Stage in 2009, MTV is breaking down walls and giving fans an access pass to the world's most explosive musical showcases EVER. This is live music at its best; the most exciting acts, shot by the most creative directors and staged in various locations around the world.
Every Friday night, the same concert will be seen on every MTV channel around the world as we bring the globe together in a massive celebration of live music, showing gigs from all over the world, from Tokyo to London, from the biggest acts in pop, rock and hip hop.

The series blew up the small screen with true tales of drugs and debauchery, breakups and makeups. The show's addictive portraits of the flipside of pop music stardom became as legendary as many of the bands themselves.
