MTV VJ Darren Mcmullen’s naughty alter ego Cheezy Mac, and ever faithful side-kick, the glamorous Trophy Girl are pitting fans against the bands in a game of wits and lightening-fast reflexes!
The only show to reward fantastical fans, this season Fan Vs Band sees Jessica Mauboy, Wes Carr, Something With Numbers, Shortstack, Josh Pyke and The Potbelleez going up against an ‘uber’ fan who thinks they know more than the band themselves. Who will triumph? You’ll just have to watch and find out!
Fan Vs Band first arrived on the scene as part of the 2008 MTV Australia Awards with Juliette and The Licks, Wyclef Jean, The Potbelleez and Kisschasy all stepping up to the plate to face their biggest fans. The tongue in cheek quiz show soon became a talking point for the artists during their time in Australia which saw the shows progression from the 2008 Awards to the 2009 Vodafone MTV Australia Awards, ‘MTV at the 2008 ARIA Red Carpet’ and now to its very own weekly half hour show.
