Summary
When Sid unwittingly “cures” Roxy of an affliction, Roxy, Frida, and Sarah become convinced that he is a Messiah in disguise. Not one to miss an opportunity to make some money, Jake steps and begins promoting Sid’s “miracles” to the entire canyon, and soon almost everyone is convinced of his holiness. Norm and Sheila seem to be the only ones in the canyon who have their suspicions, and when they discover that Jake has been getting rich by hyping his false prophet, they want nothing more than to expose the lies and draw Roxy away from her new religion and back to their family. Now fully‐committed to the scam, Jake has the canyonites building a rocketship that they think return them all to civilization. Jake soon finds he’s taken things as far as they can go and is left with no option but to expose the hoax, drawing the wrath of an entire congregation of Sid‐worshippers.
