Jake is desperate for a girlfriend and mystified by what it takes to get one, so he turns to Widow McGurk for help, bringing Butch and Sly along for the ride. The Widow takes the opportunity to impose her antiquated rules on the boys, and with no other options, Jake fully commits to the crash course in courting. Not surprisingly, Butch and Sly fall somewhat short of the Widow’s expectations. Sheila is envious of Beverly and Reginald’s golfing, so she and Norm hatch a plan to gain access to their private “club”. The two couples form unexpected friendships when they discover their mutual resentments, but it all falls apart when Reginald and Beverly realize that their exclusive club is no longer exclusive. After surviving Widow McGurk’s courting lesions, Jake receives his first kiss from an unlikely lady, and has second thoughts about his desire for a girlfriend.
