Summary

Roxy and Jake discover a centuries‐old satchel containing a diary and a bottle. They bring their discovery to Nalappat’s bar, where Sid consumes the mysterious liquid in the bottle and is granted the ability to speak fluid French, much to the delight of his wife, Emily. The canyonites gather around and read the diary, which details the adventures of ‘Robin Banks’ and what appears to be cannibalism between him and his companions. Norm finds Butch and Sly making demands of a “Wishing Boulder” that they think will provide them with free toys. Against Sheila’s advice, Norm begins to leave presents for the boys at the boulder, confirming their belief in its magic. Thinking that the label on the bottle may detail a map to freedom, Jake and Roxy set out on a dangerous journey, eventually followed by the rest of the canyonites. Norm realizes that his gifts are not exactly being used for their intended purpose, and just when they appear to be on the brink of escape, the canyonites are foiled by a rogue boulder set in motion by the antics of Butch and Sly.
