Description
New hot all-girl music act From Above are five thrill-seeking girls from the UK, strapped in and ready for the ride of their lives! Ashley, Daisy, Seyi, Chelsey and Monique have been with the Music World label for 18 months now…they’re all from the UK, aged between 19-25, and they have had various roles in the entertainment business to date, from singer/songwriter to featured dancer on the Kanye West tour, lead vocalist in a UK girlband to dancer on a UK dance reality show…basically, they know their ish.
But to take things to the next level, the girls will hop the Pond to Houston, Texas, for a much anticipated date with Music World Entertainment pres and CEO Mathew Knowles - a man who knows a thing or two about turning girl groups into gold. He’ll put the quintet through his trademark boot camp – 30 days of hardcore physical, vocal, media and choreography training to emphasise the philosophy that made global superstars of his protégés Destiny’s Child…work, work and more hard work.
With Phase 1 of artist development completed, it’s time to step it up – the girls will be put through their paces by famed choreographer Frank Gatson (Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Usher and of course Beyoncé) and musical director Kim Burse (Destiny's Child and Beyoncé.) And as Mathew himself remains very hands-on, especially when it comes to team-building and trust exercises, crucially the studio beckons as the group start to develop their ‘sound’…who will make the final cut?
