Beyonce Ignores Doctor's Orders With Antwerp Performance

She had cited dehydration and exhaustion for the reason she canceled Tuesday's gig, but one night later, she was back at work. And in footage from the show, she thanked the crowd during the latest stop on her Mrs. Carter Show tour.

"How y'all doing? I said, How you doing? I just have to say I feel so good to be on the stage," she said in a glittering white bodysuit. "I have the best fans in the world. It's somebody's birthday. Happy birthday! Now my doctors told me not to perform tonight, but there was no way in the world. I just have to say that y'all give me so much inspiration, and I just want to thank you guys."

As the opening notes of "Flaws and All" played, she told the room, "This song is for all for all [the] BeyHive. I love y'all."

Earlier on Wednesday, Beyoncé posted a handwritten note to her fans, apologizing for the missed gig, but promising she would perform that night.

"To my dearest fans in Antwerp," she wrote in the letter posted on her Facebook page. "I've never postponed a show in my life. It was very hard for me. I promise I will make it up very soon. I'm sorry if I disappointed you. Thank you for your concern. I'm feeling much better now and I'm ready to give you a great show."

Tuesday's canceled show has been rescheduled for May 31. The tour will remain abroad right through June 1. After a short hiatus, she'll play her first Stateside show on June 28 in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.

Beyoncé is expected to release a new album sometime this year, but has yet to confirm a release date for it.]]>

Christina Aguilera Shares Sexy Photo From Music Video Set

In a new photo from the set, Aguilera is looking slim and toned in a black bra and skirt, standing in front of an open window with the ocean behind her. In another photo posted by Fernandez, Aguilera stands in a Spanish colonial-style mansion wearing a black dress.

The slow jam, a cover of Miguel Gallardo's 1975 ballad, will reportedly serve as the theme song for the Televisa televonela "La Tempestad." Translated, the song's title means "Today I Want You."

Even with new music on the horizon, Aguilera is plotting her return to an old project, "The Voice."

After it was rumored she'd return to her spinning chair on the series, host Carson Daly confirmed it to E! News. Shakira, who has served as Xtina's replacement this season, released a statement about her departure, saying she needs to "get back to my motherhood" and finish work on her album.

With Aguilera back, rumor has it that Cee Lo Green may also reunite with fellow mentors Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, meaning that seat-filler Usher might be out by the end of the current season. Daly couldn't confirm Usher or Cee Lo's plans, but he did say "for the original team to get back together" — meaning Adam, Blake, Cee Lo and Christina — "there's always something special about that."]]>

Demi Lovato Proves Her 'Warrior' Status With 12th Tattoo

In celebration of her just-released album, Demi, Lovato shared a picture of a new shoulder tattoo with the phrase "now I'm a warrior." It's a nod to the emotional track "Warrior" off her fourth studio album.

Lovato appeared on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" on Wednesday and explained the inspiration behind her 12th tattoo, her first since she inked a flock of birds on her forearm.

"I have a song on my album called 'Warrior,' and it's a very, very meaningful song to me," she explained. "It's really heavy, the lyrics, but it's an inspirational song as well. ... It was kind of like a tribute to releasing an album, as well as overcoming some really, really difficult things in my life."

In the song, Lovato sings "I've got shame, I've got scars that I'll never show/ I'm a survivor in more ways than you know."

On the day of her album release, Lovato sat down for "Demi Lovato: Live From MTV" and said the track "speaks to her emotionally." But "Warrior" isn't the only song that shows Lovato's vulnerable side; the entire album is filled with honest emotion.

"There are songs that are pretty self-explanatory on this album, and when I played those songs in front of other people I almost felt, like, naked," Lovato said. "There were several times I had to leave the room."

One Direction Getting 'Edgier' In 2014 With Album, World Tour

In footage from their press conference at London's Wembley Stadium, the guys hinted that they're making some changes on their next album, expected to hit retailers by the holidays.

"[We] had the chance to work with a lot of great writers and stuff, but we just made it a bit more edgier," Liam Payne explained about the release, their follow-up to 2012's Take Me Home. "Just subtle changes here and there so it kind of grows as we grow."

While they didn't give specifics, we do know that there will not be any songs penned by Ed Sheeran, who wrote tracks for Take Me Home and their debut Up All Night. But producer Julian Bunetta shared with us earlier this year that he had been in the studio with them.

Once they drop their album, the guys will take their act on the road for their Where We Are Tour, kicking off on April 25 in Colombia. So far, the band has announced a handful of dates for South America, the U.K. and Ireland. But U.S. fans shouldn't fret; more dates will be announced soon.

Niall Horan tweeted, "Keep [your] eyes [peeled]! Please don't be disappointed if your country wasnt announced! We will be announcing more over the year!"

The guys also shared on the tour's website that "another #1BigAnnouncement coming soon." Until then, they are currently on their Take Me Home world tour. And they'll release their 3-D movie, "This Is Us," in August.

'Angry Birds' Film Dive-Bombing Into Theaters In 2016

Rovio Entertainment is developing, producing and financing a 3-D film based on the game, which the company first released in 2009. Set to be produced by John Cohen and David Maisel, who previously shepherded "Despicable Me" and "Iron Man" into theaters, respectively, the film will further develop the world within the game after launching the "Angry Birds Toons" animated series earlier in 2013.

No plot details have yet been released, but one can't help but wonder if the filmmakers will create an origin story to reveal precisely what got those birds so angry in the first place.

"Angry Birds" previously enjoyed movie crossovers with "Rio," which spawned its own version of the game, and "Star Wars," in which the Birds are the Rebel Alliance and their Bad Piggy nemeses are the Empire. There's no word yet whether director J.J. Abrams will incorporate elements of "Angry Birds" into his upcoming 2015 film "Star Wars Episode VII" to serve as a prequel for the animated film. The decision to have Sony distribute the film also paves the way for a cross-studio collaboration with "Rio 2," which is scheduled for release in 2014.

About the forthcoming adaptation, Maisel and Cohen said, "We are very excited to join with Sony Pictures in presenting this movie to the world in 2016 and we will have many more announcements as we begin production in the coming months."]]>

Chris Brown Starts New 'Channel' To Share His Life... 'Really'

Along with the backstage access you'd expect from the new site, fans can do things like check out his closet, see him play b-ball in a mall, go on a roller coaster ride with him and even watch him light up. The site, which also has a mobile app version, collects photos, status updates and videos that CB posts straight to his followers, pushing his authenticity.

Breezy held his first "broadcast" Wednesday (May 15) in a sienna-tinted shot of him in front of his piano, welcoming everyone.

"Now all you guys can see me at all times of the day, keep up with what I'm doing... really," Brown said in the 13-second clip. "I appreciate you guys, man. I love you."

The singer had previously denounced his cyber presence in January, posting on Instagram, "Social media takes away the essence of why we are even special or icons. So with that, I'm detaching myself from that world." But it seems he's had a change of heart.

The app trailer claims the "channel" will give users more entry to the star's life than his Facebook, Twitter or Instagram — and given Brown's track record with Instagram and Twitter, he might need a social-media upgrade anyway.]]>

Beyonce Sends Fans Heartfelt Apology For First Postponed Show 'In My Life'

"To my dearest fans in Antwerp," read the handwritten letter posted on her Facebook page. "I've never postponed a show in my life. It was very hard for me. I promise I will make it up very soon. I'm sorry if I disappointed you. Thank you for your concern. I'm feeling much better now and I'm ready to give you a great show."

Though her spokesperson said on Monday that it remained to be seen if Bey would be able to recover in time for the second Antwerp show, the singer signed off by saying, "see you tonight."

The tour kicked off in Serbia on April 15 and is scheduled to continue through an August 5 date at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. She has played 20 dates so far and has 11 European shows left after the Antwerp gigs before the production kicks into gear again with a June 28 date at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The postponement comes just one day after the latest rumors popped up that Bey, 31, might be pregnant with her second child with husband Jay-Z.

A spokesperson for the singer did not return requests for comment on the postponement or the pregnancy rumors.

Selena Gomez Will 'Always Be Close to My Heart,' Demi Lovato Says

Since meeting back in 2002 on the set of "Barney & Friends," Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez have managed the impossible: maintaining their lifelong bond in the public spotlight. Yet, like with any friendship, they have endured some hardships over the years and at times stopped communicating, which Lovato opened up about during her "Live from MTV" special Tuesday.

"We've been through a lot together, we've had periods of times we here we grew apart and we just didn't really talk," Lovato said, possibly referring to the time in 2010 when she opened up to Girls Life magazine alluding to the fact they were no longer friends due to a trust issue.

However, the former Disney starlets have put the past in the past and are back on track. "Now we are in a place where I think we realized that life is so short and that when you have people in your life that love you so much then, you should just always be around them," Lovato said. "She's going to be a big sister, and I want to be around for that. Everything about her, she has a great soul, she's talented, she's beautiful, and she will always be really, really close to my heart."

Lovato said the two don't talk every day, but that "doesn't invalidate" their friendship at all, being that they are each other's biggest supporters.

During "MTV First: Selena Gomez," the "Come & Get It" singer said she "loves" Lovato's new single "Heart Attack" and revealed what she admires most about her friend. "The one thing I appreciate about Demi is that she has her own individual style, and that's something she's wanted to remain no matter where she is, and I definitely love that and admire that about her."

The feeling is mutual: Lovato praised the new direction Gomez is going with her music. "I love her single 'Come & Get It,' " Lovato said. "I went on vacation in Barbados, and that's all I listened to, and that's all me and my other friends blared, and when it comes on the radio, I turn it up really loud and tell everyone to shut up unless they are singing it, but it's so awesome to see her come so far."]]>

Angelina Jolie Opens Up About 'Proactive' Double Mastectomy

New York Times, Angelina Jolie revealed that she recently underwent a preventive double mastectomy.

"I carry a 'faulty' gene, BRCA1, which sharply increases my risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer," wrote Jolie in the op-ed, in which she talked about her late mother Marcheline Bertrand's decade-long battle with cancer and death at 56. "She [Bertrand] held out long enough to meet the first of her grandchildren and to hold them in her arms. But my other children will never have the chance to know her and experience how loving and gracious she was.

"We often speak of 'Mommy's mommy,' and I find myself trying to explain the illness that took her away from us. They have asked if the same could happen to me. I have always told them not to worry." The truth, however, is that Jolie's doctors estimated that she had an 87 percent risk of developing breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer. Though she said only a fraction of breast cancers result from an inherited gene mutation, those with a defect in BRCA1 have a 65 percent risk of getting it.

"Once I knew that this was my reality, I decided to be proactive and to minimize the risk as much I could. I made a decision to have a preventive double mastectomy," she wrote of the surgery to remove both breasts. "I started with the breasts, as my risk of breast cancer is higher than my risk of ovarian cancer, and the surgery is more complex."

Jolie said she finished three months of medical procedures on April 27, noting that she kept the mastectomy surgeries private as she continued to work. "But I am writing about it now because I hope that other women can benefit from my experience," she said. "Cancer is still a word that strikes fear into people's hearts, producing a deep sense of powerlessness. But today it is possible to find out through a blood test whether you are highly susceptible to breast and ovarian cancer, and then take action." (Jolie also said she wants to make it a priority for "all women" to be able to be tested for the genes, as it currently costs ore than $3,000.)

Jolie went on to describe the procedure in detail, saying, "It does feel like a scene out of a science-fiction film. But days after surgery you can be back to a normal life. Nine weeks later, the final surgery is completed with the reconstruction of the breasts with an implant. There have been many advances in this procedure in the last few years, and the results can be beautiful."

The actress/director said she decided to write the op-ed to tell other women that her decision was not easy, but that she is happy with her choice, since her chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87 percent to under 5 percent.

"I can tell my children that they don't need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer," she wrote. "It is reassuring that they see nothing that makes them uncomfortable. They can see my small scars and that's it. Everything else is just Mommy, the same as she always was. And they know that I love them and will do anything to be with them as long as I can. On a personal note, I do not feel any less of a woman. I feel empowered that I made a strong choice that in no way diminishes my femininity."

She praised her "loving and supportive" longtime partner Brad Pitt for supporting her, saying that he was on hand for every minute of the surgeries. "We managed to find moments to laugh together," she wrote. "We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer. And it has."

She also encouraged any woman, especially those with a family history of breast or ovarian cancer, to seek out medical advice and make their own informed choice.

"I choose not to keep my story private because there are many women who do not know that they might be living under the shadow of cancer," she said. "It is my hope that they, too, will be able to get gene tested, and that if they have a high risk they, too, will know that they have strong options. Life comes with many challenges. The ones that should not scare us are the ones we can take on and take control of."]]>

According to a statement released to the Associated Press, the singer, reportedly suffering from dehydration and exhaustion, was advised by doctors to rest, and might need to hold off on Wednesday night's second show at Antwerp's Sportpaleis as well.

The statement added that the singer is, "awaiting word from her doctors before making a decision" on Wednesday's show. The tour kicked off in Serbia on April 15 and is scheduled to continue through an August 5 date at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The New York Post's Page Six reported that the couple, parents to daughter Blue Ivy, 16 months, are keeping the pregnancy under wraps. Citing unnamed sources, the Post claimed that Beyoncé strategically wore a high, belted waist gown at last week's Met Gala to camouflage her midsection.

During an appearance on "Good Morning America" last week, Beyonce said, "I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister." She didn't, however, talk about when that might happen, saying only, "at some point, when it's supposed to happen." A spokesperson for Bey did not return request for comment on the rumors at press time.

In the meantime, another new collaboration with The-Dream, "Turnt," leaked out this week. The slow jam, headed for Dream's IV Play album, is one of several fresh tracks fans have gotten from Queen Bey recently, including a snippet of "Rise Up" from the "Epic" soundtrack, as well as "Bow Down/I Been On," "Grown Woman" and "Standing on the Sun."]]>
