Channing Tatum Faces His Greatest Fear In Charming New Interview
4 May 2016
Carly Fleischmann doesn’t speak verbally, but during the inaugural episode of her new web series, she had Channing Tatum hanging on her every word.
Fleischmann, a 21-year-old author who dreams of becoming a talk show host, has autism and oromotor apraxia, a condition that has left her unable to talk. Instead, she relies on a computerized device to communicate with others. And though you can’t hear her voice, her wit and disarming sense of humor translates seamlessly, as evidenced by her new interview with Tatum.
While introducing the actor on Speechless with Carly Fleischmann, the hilarious host quipped, “He has been a stripper, a police officer, a secret agent, a reporter, a boyfriend to many, and soon he will dump his wife to be with me. I welcome Channing Tatum.” From there, she grilled her guest on his childhood, his stripper past, and dirty dancing with his wife (they regularly do “the lift” from Dirty Dancing, FYI). Tatum also comes face-to-face with his greatest fear in the form of a hella creepy doll, but manages to ooze loads of charm throughout — no doubt a testament to Fleischmann’s budding talk show host skills.
