August Winds Bring Gym Class Heroes To Singapore

17 May 2012
Fans of alternative hip-hop outfit Gym Class Heroes will be delighted to hear that the band will be performing in Singapore on August 10, 2012 at Wave House, Sentosa at 8pm.

Hailing from America, the band first catapulted to international stardom with their 2006 hit ‘Cupid’s Chokehold’, which helped them clinch the MTV Video Award for Best New Artist, making them a household name worldwide.

Instead of slowing down, Gym Class Heroes continues to churn out more chart-topping tunes including ‘Clothes’ Off!’, ‘The Queen & I’, ‘Cookie Jar’ & ‘Stereo Hearts’ – to which Maroon 5’s Adam Levine lent his vocals to and sold over 3 million copies. ‘Stereo Hearts’ went on to become one of the biggest songs of 2011.

Their latest releases ‘Ass Back Home’ and ‘The Fighter’, off the new multi-platinum album The Papercut Chroncles II, which features Neon Hitch and One Republic’s Ryan Tedder respectively, are also shaping up to be smash hits in the making.

Known for their unique hybrid of rock, R&B and funk melodies, coupled with frontman Travie McCoy’s deliverance of social messages through storytelling rap style, audiences can expect nothing short of an animated performance that guarantees to keep the fans rocking to the radio-friendly tunes.

This will be the band's first full-fledged concert since their debut in Singapore five years ago as part of a festival lineup. The boys of Gym Class Heroes are back, bigger than ever and ready to set the stage ablaze!

Come experience the hip-hop maestros live in a one-night only show! Tickets can be purchased online at and are priced at S$85 (includes one free drink). Price, however, exclude booking fees.
