Hailee Steinfeld will host the 2018 MTV EMA

11 October 2018

The multi-talented Hailee Steinfeld will host the 2018 MTV EMA, airing live globally from the Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Spain on 4 November! She's already mastered singing, songwriting and acting so why not add hosting the biggest international music awards show to her list of accomplishments?

"The EMAs are a show where anything can happen," said Hailee. "I can't wait to host a night filled with incredible artists, performances, some surprises of my own – let's do this, Bilbao!"

Hailee has had a major music career glow up over the last year. First, she released the bop, "Let Me Go" featuring Florida Georgia Line in September of 2017 and the world could not get enough of it. In November, she won her first EMA award for Best Push Artist award.

She's spent 2018 performing all over the US and Europe including at the Isle of MTV in Malta. Now, she's one of the EMA's Best Pop nominees alongside Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa and Shawn Mendes.

Hailee's somehow still finds time to be a movie star too. She snagged two Critics' Choice Award nominations and a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in the 2016 film, "The Edge of Seventeen." She was amazing as a cappella singer Emily Junk in "Pitch Perfect 3" and in just a few months she'll be starring in "Bumblebee"—the first spin-off of the "Transformers" universe, coming to theatres December 21st.

Remember you have until 3 November to vote for your favourite artists and musical acts. Our Southeast Asian acts are up as well — here are the nominees you can pick from and vote for!

Vote for your fav artist at vote.mtvema.com and tune in to catch the event live on November 5th, from 3am (SG/MY/PH). Same-day encore begins from 7pm.
