Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again brings back pure ABBA charm

2 July 2018

ABBA fans have been waiting for the sequel to 2008's Mamma Mia!, and finally it seems their lonely days are through.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again opens this month, almost exactly 10 years after the first movie launched.

The musical likewise takes place 10 years after the first film, and Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) is expecting her first child with Sky (Dominic Cooper).

Throughout the movie, we'll learn more about her mother, Donna (Meryl Streep)'s past, including how she met Sophie's three fathers (Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, and Stellan Skarsgard); how she formed her trio of dancing queens, The Dynamos (Christine Baranski and Julie Walters); and how she managed to raise Sophie on her own.

Check out the final trailer for the film here:

When it comes to Mamma Mia!, a cast full of icons is the name of the game, and Here We Go Again is no different. Not only is everyone from the first film reprising their roles, but Lily James and Andy Garcia are also joining in the fun, along with other actors playing younger versions of people from Donna's past.

Oh, and did we mention that Cher is in it, too? Because CHER is in it, too, as Donna's own Mamma!

It's enough to make any ABBA fan yell out "SOS" because they're dying from excitement!

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again will be filling the holes in our souls with fun and great music on the following dates in Southeast Asia:

18/7 — Philippines
19/7 — Malaysia
20/7 — Indonesia, Vietnam
09/8 — Singapore, Thailand
