Tori Kelly Brings Light To An Empty Place In New ‘Hollow’ Video

6 November 2015
Earlier this week, Big Sean spiced up Tori Kelly’s new single “Hollow” with a smooth remix that found him rapping about Macaulay Culkin and sippy cups (don’t worry; it worked).

But for the track’s official video released Thursday (Nov. 5), Tori stands on her own with a simple but gorgeous visual that spotlights her vulnerable vocals. In the clip, the 22-year-old wanders around an abandoned, dusty house while wearing a dress printed with gold stars.

It’s almost a paradox of sorts: you have this young woman who’s clearly a star, bringing warmness to an empty place and filling up the space with her mega-powerful voice. You can’t help but root for her to escape there and share her striking talent with the world — because clearly she has a voice and a message worth listening to.

“Hollow” will appear on the rerelease of Tori’s debut album, Unbreakable Smile, along with previous singles “Nobody Love” and “Should’ve Been Us.”
