Swift graces the cover of Glamour magazine's March issue, and in it, the she reveals that, unlike other pop stars, she doesn't feel the need to disrobe for the public, since her music is much more revealing.
"I find it relatively easy to keep my clothes on because I don't really feel like taking them off. It's not an urge I have," Swift said. "For me, 'risky' is revealing what really happened in my life through music. Risky is writing confessional songs and telling the true story about a person with enough details so everyone knows who that person is. That's putting myself out there, maybe even more than taking my shirt off."
Swift hasn't confirmed which songs are about which ex-boyfriend, but fans have attempted to solve the mysteries, coming to the conclusion that she has written about Jake Gyllenhaal ("All Too Well"), Harry Styles ("I Knew You Were Trouble") and John Mayer ("Dear John"). Yet, that won't stop her from writing down her emotions.
"One of my big goals as a human being is to continue to write what's really happening to me, even if it's a tough pill to swallow for people around me," Swift said. "I do fear that if I ever were to have someone in my life who mattered, I would second-guess every one of my lyrics."
As of right now, Swift, who is working on her follow-up to Red, is keeping mum on her relationship status, but does offer some advice for all of her fans who are currently playing the dating game.
"I think everyone should approach relationships from the perspective of playing it straight and giving someone the benefit of the doubt. Until he establishes that this is a game," Swift advised. "And if it's a game, you need to win. The best thing to do is just walk away from the table."
