5 The Temper Trap Covers That Will Blow Your Mind

31 May 2016
As the old saying goes, “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” We scoured the web and picked out five covers of The Temper Trap’s songs which while sounding incredible in their own right – will also give you a new-found appreciation of the Australian band’s best hits.

1. ELLIE GOULDING – SWEET DISPOSITION

This beautiful, pitch-perfect take by Ellie Goulding really nails the “sweet” in “Sweet Disposition” and it’s just further proof that there is no song she can’t cover.

2. BRYONY FAYE – SOLDIER ON

The Temper Trap’s “Soldier On” has a sombre, haunting quality to it which lends the song well to acoustic covers. We are loving this stripped-down performance of it by fledgling singer-songwriter Bryony Faye.

3. STRINGSPACE/STRING QUARTET – SWEET DISPOSITION

Can’t remember the lyrics to Sweet Disposition? No problem. You can still get down to this gorgeous string version.

4. JUST A GENT – FALL TOGETHER

The Temper Trap’s latest single gets remixed into an EDM-inflected dance-floor banger courtesy of 17 year-old Australian DJ, Jacob Grant (aka Just A Gent). It’s 100% lit.

5. RAC – SWEET DISPOSITION

Another fantastic “Sweet Disposition” cover. This synth-heavy mix by RAC is likely to get stuck in your head for days.

The Temper Trap’s our Featured Artist of June! If you loved these songs, be sure to check out their upcoming album Thick As Thieves!
