With the new season of Yo! MTV Raps upon us, we know it can be a little overwhelming getting to know all these talented rappers from across Asia. Rapper roundup will introduce you to each and every one of the 30+ artists on the show, helping you de-cypher your Youngohm from your YunB and your Basick from your Flowsik.

Woo & GRAY

South Korea

Standout single: 호불호

Our special guest-duo for episode 1 of Yo! MTV Raps is producer GRAY & rapper Woo from Korea. Woo, whose honest lyrics and smooth flow thrust him into the spotlight appearing in hip hop survival TV show 'Show Me The Money 6', hit multiple charts with his single 'We Are'.

GRAY is the head producer at Jay Park's independent South Korean record label AOMG, who also writes, composes and raps in his own right. They released a single: '호불호' earlier this year as a duo.

Al Rocco

China

Standout single: Bruce Lee

Originally hailing from Hong Kong and Taipei, Al Rocco has lived in London, Brooklyn and Los Angeles, and now calls Shanghai home. His 2014 hit single 'Red Money' placed him at the frontier of Chinese hip hop. He bridges Eastern and Western culture with a music style of hip hop, rap, trap and elements of R&B.

Benzooloo

Malaysia

Standout single: Terkemuka

Hailing from Kota Kinabalu and rapping since he was a high school student is Benzooloo. His latest single Terkemuka is a collaboration with fellow Sabah artists Zizi Kirana and Sandra Dianne and produced by renowned producer Malique Ibrahim. He also featured in the official soundtrack for feature-length film 'Romeo Kota'.

Dough-Boy

Hong Kong

Standout single: Noisy

Dough-Boy is a rapper-producer born in Hong Kong and raised in Toronto and Singapore.

Reflecting his diverse background, he raps in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. And with two full-length albums released in the past two years, including this year's 'Good, Bad & Ugly', he's quickly getting a rep as a prolific artist.

YunB

South Korea

Standout single: 'Alcoholic'

YunB hit the ground running with two singles 'Runaway, pt 1' and 'Runaway, pt 2'. A visionary artist who brings elements of jazz with a futuristic sound, YunB is not only a talented singer and rapper, but also a gifted lyricist, producer and DJ. His latest album, S.O.S., features some sick collabs with artists such as Paloalto, EK and his labelmate, Reddy.
