And while this season promises the drama, it shows the housemates closer than ever before, which made it all the more difficult to say goodbye on the final day of filming.
"Everybody teared up, production teared up, we teared up, we couldn't believe it, I can't picture not going back to Seaside for the summertime," Pauly D told MTV News at MixTape Festival. "I feel like it's home."
But if they are going to end it with any season, Pauly D is happy it's ending with this one.
"I'm excited," Pauly D said. "It was probably one of my favorite seasons to film. It was so cool because a lot of things are different now, with Snooki being pregnant, Mike just getting out of rehab, but how we deal with that and how we all come together as a family, that was the best part about it."
Pauly D added that he's thrilled the Situation is acting like his old self, even though he admitted that he's still the person most likely to be punched in the face this season. "I feel like we lost Mike throughout the years and we got him back this season," Pauly D said. "So MVP is stronger than ever."
And it seems the drama in the house is stronger than ever as well, no matter how hard they fight to keep it out of the shore house.
"As much as we try to stay away from it... I mean I stay away from it," Pauly D said. "But there's always drama with us for some reason."
So what does the future have in store for the "Jersey Shore" housemates? Pauly D expects JWoww to be the next one to walk down the aisle, and as for himself, he's working on his upcoming debut album and isn't ruling out another run on reality television.
"Music has always been my top priority, but I love the TV side of it too," Pauly D said. "Maybe we'll do another season of my show Pauly D Project."
