But over the last week, all of that has changed. Paramore recently launched an in-studio Instagram account, which so far has been populated with pics of the band recording new material — Hayley Williams seems to be spending an inordinate amount of time playing with keyboards and organs, for what it's worth — shooting hoops and taking the occasional burrito break.
They're also apparently making tremendous progress on the still-untitled album: Earlier on Wednesday, Williams took to Twitter to reveal that Paramore were beginning pre-production work on a song, and they'd previously recorded a song called "Daydreaming." In the meantime, Meldal-Johnsen has also recently been doing work on the new Tegan and Sara album, in addition to playing bass for Beck on his just-wrapped tour.
There's still no tentative release date for the new album, though a rep for Paramore's label, Fueled by Ramen, told MTV News that the band is currently in pre-production "with the bulk of actual production happening in July." But, hey, Para-maniacs ... while you're waiting, you can always marvel at this shot of the band's in-studio toilet situation. Hey, it's better than nothing, right?
