Come Gab About Your Full List of EMA Winners (and watch tonight’s ENCORE!)

5 November 2018

All winners at the 2018 MTV EMA have finally been announced, and Joe Flizzow, Loura Lou, Little Glee Monster and Loona won the Best Act awards for the Asian regions.

In a big win for Asia hip hop, Joe won Best Southeast Asia Act. Meanwhile, Loura picked up the win for Greater China, Little Glee Monster sang their way to winning the Japan award, and Loona took home the Korea award shortly after having made their debut as a full group earlier this year.

They weren't the only ones repping Asia on the big stage, either. Alessia Cara's stunning performance at MTV Spotlight @ Hyperplay in Singapore back in August won the award for Best World Stage, while the BTS Army played a major role in BTS taking home the Biggest Fans award.

The night's biggest winner, however, was Camilla Cabello, who picked up three major awards: Best Artist, and Best Song and Best Video, both for her chart-topping single, "Havana" ft. Young Thug. Camilla accepted the award live on stage and thanked all her Camilizers for all the love they've shown to her and her music.

Rapper Nicki Minaj won two awards, for Best Hip Hop and Best Look, shortly after storming the stage in a blistering performance of "Good Form" alongside David Guetta, Jason Derulo, and Little Mix. Shawn Mendes followed suit with two awards of his own, for Best Live and Best Canadian Act.

In a surprise announcement, all five nominees of the first-ever EMA Generation Change award, which recognizes young changemakers working to make the world a better place, took home the trophy. The winners are an international collection of some of the most inspiring people under 25: climate activist Xiuhtezcatl "X" Martinez (USA), Syrian refugee school founder Mohamad Al Jounde (Lebanon), girls' rights activist and artist Sonita Alizadeh (Afghanistan), mental health advocate Hauwa Ojeifo (Nigeria), and LGBTQIA+ rights activist Ellen Jones (UK).
