GOT7’s new album ‘7 for 7’ departs from their hip hop sound – but we love it anyway

19 October 2017
We love GOT7 for their hip hop songs (even though they can be quite cringe-y at times). But this mini-album that GOT7 dropped is totally nothing like their hip hop songs!

Listen to 'You Are', which shows off GOT7's softer side. I can get into this, TBH.

Just in case you haven't guessed, all the songs were co-written by group members, which makes their lyrics totally relatable. And the lyrics actually make sense (not like that Hard Carry mess).

If you haven't listened to their latest mini-album yet, the '7 for 7' EP is like a melting pot of genres that you want to get in on, especially if you're an ahghase. Every single song is so good, it's so hard to pick a favourite!

Just don't expect your usual hip hop beats, because the album is a departure from their usual swag stuff. But we are still lapping up every song! This album tilts towards more R&B and soul; there's even a song that you can call a ballad.

GOT7 will be taking the stage at the 2017 Busan Asia One Festival Opening Ceremony alongside 12 other Kpop groups on 22 October! MTV Asia will be broadcasting and livestreaming the opening ceremony. Watch the BOF opening ceremony LIVE at 6pm (SG/PH/MY), 5pm (WIB) to not miss out on anything!

If you are worried that you won't understand anything that's going on, the MTV Asia broadcast and livestream will have a live voiceover in English. We totally understand the struggles of being a non-Korean-speaking fan!
