Questions have swirled about potential tension on the upcoming promotional tour ever since the revelation that Stewart had become involvedwith her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.
"We're going to be fine," Stewart told the Associated Press over the weekend about how she Pattinson will feel when they see each other again. "We're totally fine."
Speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival in support of her starring role in the adaptation of Jack Kerouac's iconic Beat road novel "On the Road," Stewart, 22, made her first public appearance since the scandal broke.
The notoriously press-shy actress said she was excited to finally be talking about "Road," which is slated for release in December. "We have been waiting for this thing to be unleashed for so long. It was sort of one of those situations where you just have to put yourself in your body and go appreciate the moment," she said. "You expect a lot of people at a 'Twilight' premiere, but showing up at an 'On the Road' Toronto film festival screening and seeing that amount of people is absolutely, disarmingly amazing."
