Charlie Lim’s newest album is out now (and he’s celebrating it with his biggest concert to date)

12 October 2018

Singaporean singer-songwriter Charlie Lim is on the up and up. After being a key face for this year's National Day Parade, Lim has gone through an extensive period of recording to emerge with CHECK-HOOK, his newest album.

The seven-track effort is officially released on digital platforms today, and it features guest appearances by .gif's Weish and rappers Yung Raja and Fariz Jabba (last seen on our Yo! MTV Raps special).

Along with the album release, Lim's label Universal Music Singapore has revealed an upcoming concert — performing at The Star Theatre, no less.

The venue, which has hosted the likes of Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Bon Iver and Bob Dylan in the past, will play host to Charlie Lim's biggest concert to date, and he will be joined by his aforementioned album guests along with backing vocals from established performers Vanessa Fernandez (Vandetta, Octover) and Eugenia Yip (The Steve McQueens, Riot !n Magenta).

You know it's going to be a monumental event when the cameras will be out, as Lim plans the concert to be filmed and recorded for a live album, set for release in 2019.

But for now, stream CHECK-HOOK above and prepare to camp for tickets (priced at S$88, S$68 and S$58), set for release on October 15th, Monday via SISTIC.
