Here's what we know so far about the new upcoming iPhone X and the reason behind 'X'

12 September 2017
If you're waiting in anticipation to get your sticky fingers on Apple's new iPhone, we have news for you...

Along with Apple's iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, the next generation iPhone will apparently be called the 'iPhone X' according to leaked information.

9to5Mac are reporting that Apple's new iPhone X is an attempt to move away from the company's tradition of numbering its releases.

Some tech heads reckon Apple has chosen 'X' to represent the Roman numeral 10 because 2017 is the iPhone's 10th anniversary!

Those cheeky, cheeky geniuses...

Tim Cook is expected to unveil errthang about the new iPhone(s) at the Apple event later on at 1am (SGT)!

Here's what we know so far...

- Wireless charging (YAAAAS BABY! No more untangling of stupid wires!)
- A facial recognition camera with a 3D software feature
- Edge-to-edge display just like Samsung's edge phone
- No more home button
- New updates to the software: iOS 11

Are there more tho? We're just going to have to wait and see what happens when Apple drop their fresh batch of iPhones and other tech later tonight.
