Miranda Kerr & Leonardo Dicaprio Are Now Under Investigation After Accidentally Involved In A Major Money Scam

Miranda Kerr and Leonardo DiCaprio have unwittingly found themselves involved in a major money scam with a billionaire businessman, and it's getting real serious 'coz the US government is currently investigating the matter.

Miranda was reportedly given diamonds worth millions of dollars by Malaysian financier Jho Low, who she allegedly dated in 2014 after splitting up with Orlando Bloom.

According to Page Six, Jho reportedly blew $1.29 million on a Lorraine Schwartz 11.72-carat rock engraved with Miranda's initials that he gifted the supermodel for Valentines Day back in 2k14. The ex$pensive gifts kept flowing, with Low reportedly treating Miranda to a $4.5 million diamond pendant in November 2014, as well as a pair of diamond earrings, a matching necklace, a ring and bracelet.

The US government has now filed a civil lawsuit in an attempt to seize assets that Low bought (including the jewellery that he gifted to Miranda), which was reportedly purchased using money stolen from Malaysian development fund 1MDB.

Your fave Oscar winning bae Leonardo DiCaprio has also found himself entangled in this series of unfortunate events. Page Six reports that Low "spent millions to fly around the world with Leonardo DiCaprio and to gamble with him."

Leo has since returned the lavish gifts that he received from Hollywood production company, Red Granite, which has connections to Low, and which the US government claims was founded using the money stolen from 1MDB.

Leo's spokesperson announced that the Oscar-winner would be "returning more than $13 million worth of art given to him by Red Granite" and would be returning Marlon Brando's Oscar for "On The Waterfront" which Red Granite bought for him.

Page Six also reports that Miranda is currently "cooperating fully with the investigation."
