It's time to hide out from the horror of 'It' in this behind the scenes look with MTV Movies:

MTV Movie Spotlight - ‘It’

The Losers' Club will come face-to-face with Pennywise (once again) in IT's sequel.

Set twenty-seven years after the events of the first film, an official release date for It: Chapter 2 has finally been confirmed - the next installment will be unleashed September 6, 2019.

Last month, it was revealed the sequel will have a much darker tone... Yep.

"It won't be a comedy," director Andrés Muschietti told MTV News. "If the second movie happens, I really want to recover the dialogue between the two timelines that the book had."

Chapter Two will most likely take place in 2016, but instead of just following adult versions of The Losers' Club, the sequel may also flashback to that haunted summer of 1989.

"While the sequel will take place in the present, it will be punctuated with flashbacks, allowing the same cadre of kids to be seen again," THR report.

Another possibility is that the film will travel to the Macroverse, AKA the other dimension where It dwells.
