Fall Out Boy Release ‘Immortals’ Officially, So Now You Can Rage To Your Full Potential

15 October 2014
We’ve heard a bit of Fall Out Boy’s “Immortals” in the sizzle reel for Disney’s “Big Hero 6,” but now, we’re ready for the full thing.

On Tuesday (October 14), FOB dropped the whole track, and it’s enough to get you pumped for whatever is coming your way. Morning meeting? Pumped. School project? Pumped. Dog grooming appointment? STILL PUMPED.

Of course, FOB purposed its motivational track for the end credits of “Big Hero 6,” a movie about a well-intentioned, adorable balloon robot, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take inspiration from it even if you aren’t an animated fluff body.

“Immortals” follows FOB’s “Centuries,” which they dropped with barely any warning in September.

The song actually tells the story of a doomed relationship. “I try to picture me without you but I can’t/ We could be immortals, immortals/ Just not for long, for long,” frontman Patrick Stump sings. Despite that, I’m using it to get amped for the rest of the day. Going to do jumping jacks now, bye.
