Member of b-boy group Art Of Movement (AOM) and former charismatic leader of Korean pop group 2PM, Jay Park, will be back in Singapore to stage a full concert on January 18, 2013 at The Star Performance Arts Centre after having previously performed small-scale showcases.
Making his debut on M.net program “Hot Blood Men”, Jay initially received attention only for his good looks. However, he proved himself vocally when he uploaded a cover video of B.o.B.’s “Nothin’ On You” online in March 2010, drawing 1.5 million views within the first day and catapulting him to fame.
Jay’s first mini-album, Take A Deeper Look
, was released in April 2011 while his debut full-length album, New Breed
, was released in February 2012. These albums helped him add many awards to his repertoire, namely, Naver Most Popular Search’s Male Solo Award (Korea, 2010), Mashable Awards’ Best Web Video (USA, 2011), Golden Disk Awards’ Record of the Year (Korea, 2011) and Asia Models Award, Most Popular Artiste (Korea, 2012). Jay Park also performed at the MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia 2012 together with international pop star Justin Bieber, fellow K-pop artist Kara as well as Malaysia’s Mizz Nina on July 14, 2012 at Sunway Lagoon.
Tickets to catch Jay Park Live in concert are priced at $358 (includes backstage pass), S$168 and S$98 and are available for purchase online at www.ticketbooth.com.sg
