K-pop PSA: "The Show" LIVE on MTV Asia is here for your weekly K-pop dose!

28 January 2019

TL;DR: It's Kpop and it's LIVE on MTV Asia!

Since 2011, a 90-minute variety programme from Korea called The Show has showcased the hottest in K-pop, celebrating iconic artists and groups while introducing fans to their next new biases.

The Show trailer

The top draw that everyone tunes in to The Show for is undoubtedly the music: a mixture of established and emerging Korean artists deliver high-energy performances in every episode.

Adding to the intimacy of The Show, bringing you closer to your idols than faraway stadium concerts, you'll get a peek at some revealing behind-the-scenes footage too.

The Show is hosted by CLC's Yeeun and NCT's Jeno (psst... we got to know him during NCT's epic stint as our Asia Spotlight artist). Check out their ultra-cute greetings in English:

Jeno and Yeeun take the reins from a long, prestigious line of The Show hosts that includes f(x)'s Luna and rapper Zico.

The Show also features an interactive element called "The Show Choice" that encourages fans all over the world to vote for their top idols — whether the reigning touring talents in BTS or the queens in Red Velvet, to give you an idea — via the Starpass idol fandom app (download for iPhone/Android).

With live telecasts on MTV Asia subtitled in English, K-pop has never been more accessible.

Catch The Show live from Seoul Tuesdays at 5pm (SG) on MTV Asia. For more details as well as replay times, visit The Show hub!
