Kitted out in a tux, Abel Tesfaye plays a kind of macabre MC in a cabaret of S&M burlesque dancers, lazily undulating with ropes and whips, their rear ends marked with black Xs (to mark the spot we imagine — given Mr. Grey’s famously twitching palm), taking twerking where twerking’s rarely gone before. For the grand finale, “Fifty Shades” star Dakota Johnson descends from the ceiling, wrapped in rope and seemingly naked, and Tesfaye sings “girl you earned it” to her bound body.

Helmed by “Fifty Shades of Grey” director Sam Taylor-Johnson and cinematographer Seamus McGarvey, the video lends a peek into the upcoming flick that’s darker than most — highlighting the parts of Fifty that are more black than grey.
