Ed Sheeran returns to Singapore with his biggest show yet

22 October 2018

Ed Sheeran has come a long way, hasn't he?

The popular singer-songwriter initially made his live Singapore debut to a sold-out crowd of 5,000 fans in 2015 but, in 2019, he's about to perform to a crowd ten times that size.

Sheeran has been confirmed for a return to the country to perform at the National Stadium, with the concert to be held on April 26th.

The announcement comes early — although warranted for diehard fans, as tickets usually fly fast, as they did for his last two shows in the country at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Ticket prices are at S$68 (US$50), S$98 (US$71), S$158 (US$115) and S$248 (US$180), with standing S$158 tickets available for the fans with endurance. Tickets will be officially released on October 25th via SportsHubTix.

Sheeran joins a prestige league of music acts who have performed at the venue, which include Coldplay (who sold out two nights), Madonna, Jay Chou, One Direction and Foo Fighters.

There's no news of other Ed Sheeran 2019 shows in Asia, but judging from the love the region showed him the last time, a full return tour seems imminent.

UPDATE: Ed Sheeran has also listed dates in South Korea and Thailand on his official website.

Here's his Asia tour itinerary so far:

21/4: Seoul (Songdo Moonlight Festival Park)
26/4: Singapore (National Stadium)
28/4: Bangkok (Rajamangala National Stadium)
