Malaysian Indie Outfit 'The Impatient Sisters' Will Melt Your Heart With Their Whimsical Tunes

11 August 2017
It's true: talent does run in the family.

One of Malaysia's leading indie folk bands, The Impatient Sisters, is made of actual sisters Soraya, Nazeera and Irena Taib. They didn't call themselves sisters just for effect!

But the trio isn't your typical vanilla pop band. The Impatient Sisters are loved for their haunting melodies and melancholic tunes borders on folk. Their latest MV, Hey There Sailor, is equally whimsical.

Their harmonies always send tingles down my spine! How can you not fall in love with them?

The Impatient Sisters started off as a cover band for indie band My Short Term Memory. Despite it being their first show, they impressed the crowd and the organizer, who asked them if they had any original songs. Like most aspiring musicians, the girls started writing their own stuff! So thanks to this organizer, we now are able to bask in the quirky tunes of The Impatient Sisters.

Even before they released an album, The Impatient Sisters managed to spawn a parody band - The Impatient Brothers! The Impatient Brothers are pretty much the male version of The Impatient Sisters, and the two bands have even collaborated together.

If they merged and debuted as The Impatient Family, that'd probably be the cutest collab we could ever wish for!
