At MTV Asia, we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. To ensure that you can make informed decisions and feel confident about sharing certain personal information with us, this Privacy Policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people who visit our website, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

For example, we may collect anonymous answers to surveys or aggregated information about how users use our website, or whether you are male or female and how you watch our programmes.

4. HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We collect your personal information directly from you unless it is unreasonable or impracticable to do so, in which case the information may be collected automatically, including:

• when you access our services online (for example by visiting our websites or using our mobile apps), we automatically collect information about your use of the services, such as the time of your visit and the pages or content you viewed; We also receive and collect technical information about your device and software, including the type of device, operating system and version, mobile network information, IP address (a unique number used to identify a device on the internet), mobile device advertising identifier (a resettable identifier that is assigned to your mobile device by your operating system provider, such as Apple or Google) or other device identifier, the page you visited before visiting our website, and crash data.
• when you post any comments regarding us or our services on our websites or social media accounts, or through your use and interaction with our social media accounts, for example, when you "like" us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter or Instagram, or when you log into our website or comment or post on sites of this nature using your Facebook or Twitter account details;
• when you attend an event at which we are filming or where filming notices are put up, there may be audio, visual and/or audio-visual content we may record from time to time for our programs and services;

Visitors to our premises additionally acknowledge that we may use a third party to collect information, including personal information, when you register at our reception desk. Users of our websites additionally acknowledge that we may use a third party to collect research information from our websites, including through the use of cookies (flash and non-flash) and web beacons, however this process does not contain any personal information.

We may also collect personal information about you from others, including family members (where you are under 18 and have entered a competition or otherwise authorized us to contact your parent/guardian) or friends if you are an accompanying guest for the purposes of a competition or an event, from third party companies such as credit reporting agencies and research companies, from law enforcement agencies, and other government entities.

5. COOKIES
We and our advertising and analytics service providers use cookies, which are small text files that help store user preferences and activity, and similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels, and ad tags to recognise you when you visit our services, and to collect information such as the number of visits, which features or pages are popular, measurements about the advertising campaign's success, and other information about your browsing activities. This allows us to ensure our services are functioning properly, to improve the Services, and to provide and measure advertisements.

You further acknowledge that providing information to our related bodies corporate will sometimes require us to transport your personal information overseas, by way of online servers or cloud-based services, or for example when the prize is overseas or includes overseas travel. This may involve us transferring your personal information to, or store or access it in, other countries where the laws may not provide levels of protection for your personal information meeting or exceeding prevailing international data protection standards. 7. TO WHOM MAY WE DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION?

8 DIRECT MARKETING MATERIALS
We may send you direct marketing communications and information about our products and services that we consider may be of interest to you where you have consented, and if you indicate a preference for a method of communication, we will endeavour to use that method whenever practical to do so. 10. WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR COMPLAINING ABOUT A BREACH OF PRIVACY?

We request that complaints about breaches of privacy be made in writing, so we can be sure about the details of the complaint.

We will attempt to confirm as appropriate and necessary with you your understanding of the conduct relevant to the complaint and what you expect as an outcome. We will inform you whether we will conduct an investigation, the name, title, and contact details of the investigating officer and the estimated completion date for the investigation process.

After we have completed our enquiries, we will contact you, usually in writing, to advise the outcome and invite a response to our conclusions about the complaint. If we receive a response from you, we will assess it and advise if we have changed our view.

We take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is protected from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. We may hold your information in either electronic or hard copy form. Personal information is destroyed or de-identified when no longer needed.
