The alt-folk troupe Of Monsters and Men hail from Iceland, where they got their start in 2010 by winning an annual battle of the bands and scored a 2011 No. 1 single with ‘Little Talks’. But now, they’re more than ready to go worldwide!

The six-piece band (co-singer/guitarists Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir and Ragnar “Raggi” Þórhallsson, guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, piano/accordionist Árni Guðjónsson, and bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson) saw their first full-length album ‘My Head Is an Animal’ debut at No. 1 on the iTunes Alternative Chart. And the ‘Little Talks’ video has had up to 3 million YouTube views.

Now, the band that’s been called the new Arcade Fire is about to be a household name in their own right—Of Monsters and Men is August’s MTV PUSH artist.
