Are divas getting more like peas in a pod? For the past couple of months, we have Alicia Keys, Leona Lewis and Australia's very own Delta Goodrem all sporting the same album cover art direction. Maybe it's a classic diva "look." That or someone from their label is running out of creative ideas. Who knows?

Superficial observations aside, the thing that sets Delta apart is probably her pop sensibilities. Her 2003 album, Mistaken Identity, was considerably darker due to her struggle with cancer. Now years have passed and the young lass has made a complete recovery, it's time to leave those heavy times behind and head for something lighter on her third outing, Delta. There are still the signature power ballads ("The Guardian," "I Can't Break It To My Heart," "Angels In The Room") that bring out the Celine Dion influence in her, but Delta does get playful with other songs, injecting an element of fun especially on the reggae party track "You Will Only Break My Heart" and the up-beat "One Day." First single "In This Life" also brings forth an uplifting optimism that seeps through to the rest of the tracks like "Possessionless," "God Laughs," and "Brave Face," making Delta an album that's both easy on the ears and the soul.

With her fiancé Brian McFadden co-writing a lion's share of the songs and Delta charting as her third consecutive No. 1 album in Australia, there's no denying that Delta is living in happy days. When the good times roll, it is easily to forget how much the 24-year-old has come, which also makes Delta a personal triumph and firm milestone for Delta and her fans to remember by.
