Sounds Like:The likes of Saliva, Nickelback, Drowning Pool, and Rob Zombie, who have probably found a niche in appearing in testosterone-charged movie soundtracks like this one.You May Have Heard:The Calling's"For You"that's currently doing its rounds on MTV and Evanescence's"Bring Me To Life,"which is featured prominently in the movie's trailer.We Fancy:It seems like a run-of-the-mill hard rock collection but fortunately, Seether brings head-banging to a new level with the hard rocking yet melodious"Hang On."L.A. based Paloalto (who debuted in 2000 with little impact) makes a comeback with their new single"Fade Out/In,"a standout track with a catchy and earnest chorus. However, the highlights of the soundtrack have to be the epic"Bring Me Back To Life"and the dark and ethereal"My Immortal"by new band Evanescence, which immortalize the romantic scenes between Matt Murdock and Elektra Natchios inDaredevil.We're Not Sure About:The murky merge of raging guitars rifts and growling vocals from bands of the same beat can only mean one thing -- short-lived songs that people won't remember after the movie passes on.Verdict:It can be a bore. If you are into this soundtrack because of Evanescence, get their debut albumFalleninstead.
