Since its initial episode in 1998, MTV's award-winning True Life documentary series has told remarkable real-life stories of young people and the unusual subcultures they inhabit. Whether documenting the lives of individuals dealing with obesity, or teens in high school--the True Life series tells its stories solely from the varied voices and points-of-view of its characters--putting the series in the unique position of reflecting the state of youth culture at any given moment.

1) True Life: I'm Stepping - Premieres 6 June, 10am
It's may seem like latest craze, but stepping has been around for hundreds of years. A raucous mix of theater, dance and athletics, stepping was once solely an African-American pastime, but is now crossing ethnic and cultural boundaries nationwide. In this episode of True Life, see what the fuss is about as we follow three step teams, Z Phi Blueprint, the Houston Sigma All-Stars and the Soul Steppin Divas as they compete for first place at one of the biggest step competitions in the nation.

2) True Life: I'm a Genius - Premieres 13 June, 10am
Less than 1% of Americans can be classified as geniuses, but sometimes being a genius isn't all it's cracked up to be. To possess elite intellectual or creative abilities can be exhilarating for a young person, but the extreme expectations placed on such prodigies can also be overwhelming. Many find it hard to be normal teenagers when they can outthink most of the adults they know. On this episode of True Life you'll meet three young people trying to make the most of their brilliant minds without losing themselves in the process.

3) True Life: I Have Autism - Premieres 20 June, 10am
On this episode of True Life you'll meet three young people who are doing everything they can to battle their Autism and live life to the fullest.

4) True Life: This is Me Now- Premieres 27 June, 10am
Whatever happened to Corey who weighed 400 lbs in True Life: I'm Obese? Did he ever get the gastric bypass surgery he was yearning for? And what about Alyssa from I Have Tourettes Syndrome? Did she ultimately find relief from her extremely painful twitches and convulsions? For over ten years, MTV's True Life series has provided a window into the struggles, hopes, and dreams of young Americans. In this special episode we revisit some of the most memorable characters from recent years to find out what they're up to now and what effect being a part of True Life had on their lives.
