UK rock trio Placebo to perform 'Live' in Hong Kong!

With a total of over 12 million records sold and a worldwide acclaimed music career spanning over a decade, UK rock trio Placebo will be performing in Hong Kong at HITEC Star Hall on August 3. This will be the second time that Placebo is playing in Hong Kong. Tickets will be on sale from Monday June 8.

Led as always by lead singer/guitarist Brian Molko, Placebo's current line up includes Stefan Olsdal (bass, guitar & keyboard) and new drummer Steve Forrest. Formed in 1994, they released their first album Placebo in 1996 and have now released five studio albums, 2 DVD's and a 'Singles Collection'.

They have created a string of hits which includes "Nancy Boy", "Pure Morning", "You Don't Care About Us", "Every You Every Me", "The Bitter End", "Twenty Years", "Without You I'm Nothing", "Special K", "Infra-Red", "Meds" and a cover of the Kate Bush song "Running Up That Hill". Their highly-anticipated sixth studio album Battle For The Sun will be released on June 8.

Formed in 2007, opening guest Mr. consists of Alan (vocal), Dash (bass), MJ (guitar), Ronny (guitar) and Tom (drum). Their 2008 debut EP Mister achieved remarkable success and earned them over 5 music awards from various HK mainstream media.
