Coldplay's Viva La Vida Tour Comes To Singapore On March 23!

Coldplay will be performing in Singapore as part of the Viva La Vida tour on Monday, March 23, 2009. This will be the third time that the multi Grammy Award-winning band is playing in Singapore, with 2 sell-out shows here previously. Tickets will go on sale at 9am, Monday, February 16.
After surfacing in 2000 with the breakthrough single "Yellow," Coldplay quickly became one of the biggest bands of the new millennium. The band's current album Viva La Vida is the most commercially successful rock album released in this decade.
Sweeping 3 major awards at the 51st Grammy Awards, Coldplay picked up Best Rock Album, Song Of The Year ("Viva La Vida"), Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals. The band is also leading the 2009 BRITS Awards with nominations including British Album, British Group, British Live Act, British single ("Viva La Vida").
Mercury Rev will appear as special guests on the nearly sold out Coldplay tour in Singapore. Mercury Rev was formed in Buffalo, New York in the late 1980's. Consistently driven by Jonathan Donahue (vocals/guitar), Grasshopper aka Sean Mackowiak (guitar), Jeff Mercel (drums & keyboards) with Dave Fridmann (bass, engineering & production), Carlos Anthony Molina (bass), Mercury Rev has continued to surprise and enlighten listeners for over a decade and a half with their maverick musical explorations.
Mercury Rev has previously performed in Singapore in 2007 and they are very excited to be back as special guests for Coldplay's Viva La Vida Tour.
Coldplay will be performing a one-night-only show in Singapore with limited tickets available. This is definitely the concert of the year not to be missed!
Live Nation will release additional limited seats to cater to the overwhelming demand for tickets for the upcoming Coldplay Singapore tour. Tickets went on sale on Monday, February 16, and are almost sold out.
