Pussycat Dolls Say They're 'Huge Fans' Of Tourmate Lady Gaga
By Jocelyn Vena (MTV.com)
We know Lady Gaga is excited for her European tour with the Pussycat Dolls, but it turns out the Dolls themselves can't wait to hit the road with the performance artist and DJ either.
"We are so excited to go on tour with Lady Gaga," Nicole Scherzinger told MTV News from the set of their "Bottle Pop" video. "We love her music, and we are huge fans of hers."
The Doll Domination Tour starts January 18 in Scotland, making stops in England, Ireland, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Belgium and Monaco. Once that leg of the tour is over, the Dolls will hit the road with Britney Spears for her Circus Tour this spring.
"We're like, 'We're opening up for Britney Spears! That's so cool!' I think we all screamed and jumped a little bit," PCD's Ashley Roberts said of their reaction to the news that they'd be touring with Spears.
After the Pussycat Dolls finish up with Spears, they'll once again hit the road with Gaga in May, making stops throughout Australia and New Zealand.
"Lady Gaga is a friend of ours - we're on the same [record label]," Scherzinger said. "And she totally inspires us at the same time."
Lady Gaga is excited to be able to include her wacky aesthetic in the new tour. "I consider what I do to be more of an Andy Warhol concept: pop performance art, multimedia, fashion, technology, video, film," she said. "It's all coming together, and it's going to be a traveling museum show.
"I'm going to be on tour for the next 10, 20 years," Gaga added.
