Damon Albarn Remixes Songs From His Opera

For fans of British group Blur, there is more that we can expect from frontman Damon Albarn at the turn of the year!

Two remixes from the singer's opera Monkey: Journey to the West are due for online release in January. Albarn had produced a musical interpretation of the Chinese legend, and will release remixes of the song "Monkey Bee" by prominent DJs.

As previously reported, Blur haas reunited and will tour in the next year.


AC/DC to Receive Scottish Honor

Prior to their Scottish performance, rock band AC/DC have been honored by the country's parliament.

Holyrood, Scotland's senate will recognize the band's roots by honoring them during their upcoming performance in the country. Founding members Angus and Malcolm Young were born in Scotland before they moved to Australia.

AC/DC's late frontman Bon Scott also sported a "Scotland Forever" tattoo and played the bagpipes on several of their songs.


M.I.A. Launches Fashion Range Inspired By Album Covers

R&B singer M.I.A. is set to release a new fashion range inspired by her very own album covers!

The British star is calling the range Extended Merch, which is heavily influenced by her music and features patterns from the covers of her albums Kala and Arular. The range will feature T-shirts, bodysuits and leggings and is be available online.

On top of being a successful singer and fashion connoisseur, M.I.A. has also worked as a graphic designer.


Madonna Releases Her Worst-Selling Single

The woes continue for pop superstar Madonna: she has just released her worst-selling single ever.

The Material Girl, who recently split with film director Guy Ritchie, failed to make waves on the UK charts with her latest release "Miles Away." The single only managed to reach #39, and is the singer's only song in her 24-year career that failed to chart inside the top-20.

"Miles Away" is taken from her latest album Hard Candy.


Moby To Star In Vampire Movie

Dance producer and DJ Moby is set to hit the big screen for a role in a new vampire movie.

The DJ, who is a vegetarian, will turn his back on the veges to play the lead singer of an imaginary band called the Secretaries of Steak. Moby's character in the film entitled Suck, spends most of his gigs dodging pieces of meat thrown by the audience members.

The movie will be released in the second half of 2009.
