Hospital Room Named After AC/DC Frontman

AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson has been recognized for his charitable work, by having a hospital room named after him.

The rock star had been involved in an effort to raise money to buy music equipment to help hospitalized children learn about music. The Brian Johnson Music Therapy room will be unveiled next week, and the singer is set to be present to officiate.

AC/DC has released a highly successful album Black Ice and are gearing for a world tour next year.


The Strokes Frontman To Do Comedy Album

The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas is set to leave his familiar indie tunes behind for a new musical venture.

Casablancas will appear in a new comedy album entitled Incredibad, and has teamed up with Saturday Night Live's writers to produce a satirical track called "BoomBox." The collaboration came after The Strokes performed on the TV show recently.

Also making guest appearances on the album, are T-pain and Maroon 5's Adam Levine.


Guitar Hero Metallica Game Due Next Year

Metallica fans, good news for you! A special Metallica edition of the video game Guitar Hero is set to hit stores soon.

The rock band has confirmed on their website that there will be a Metallica edition to the highly successful video game Guitar Hero. The game will feature 28 of their songs, and also includes a new difficulty setting that includes 2 bass kick-drum pedals.

A tracklisting, and a preview of the game will appear on the band's website in a few months.

Depeche Mode Finishes 12th Studio Album

'80s electronic band Depeche Mode has revealed that they have finished work on their 12th studio album.

The follow-up to their 2005 offering Playing the Angel, Depeche Mode's new album is due for release in the new year. Frontman Dave Graham has said that the band has recorded the most number of songs for an album, but will still limit the tracklist to 12 compositions.

Depeche Mode are one of the most influential bands to arise from the '80s, impacting bands like The Killers and Coldplay.
