Mystery Jets Are Coming To Singapore!
Indie fans, get a load of this! The Mystery Jets are set to rock out in Singapore next month.
The 4-piece English band will be bringing their brand of psychedelic guitar pop to Zouk Club on January 11, 2009 in Singapore. The Mystery Jets performance will start at 9pm and will be followed by a post-party.
MTV is the official music channel for the performance, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates on our site!
Nine Inch Nails To Stop Touring
Fans of industrial rock outfit Nine Inch Nails, here's a heads-up. The band has decided that they will not play any more live shows.
Frontman Trent Reznor has said that gigs happening in 2009 will be their last for the foreseeable future. But it's not all bad news, as the multi-talented singer has said that he wants to try a "different approach" to playing live.
Nine Inch Nails are currently on tour in North America, and will perform in Australia early next year.
Leona Lewis Gets The Thumbs Up From Snow Patrol
R&B sensation Leona Lewis has been given the thumbs up from rock band Snow Patrol, for her cover of their hit single.
Leona had covered the indie song "Run," but had released it only after demands from her fans. Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lighbody praised Leona's rendition, saying she had thought hard about the interpretation, and sounded phenomenal.
Leona's release has pushed Take That's latest single "Greatest Day" off the top of the UK charts.
Katy Perry Apologizes To Lily Allen
After naming her as one of her inspirations, Katy Perry has come out to apologize to Lily Allen for calling her "fat."
The "Hot N' Cold" singer was asked to describe herself earlier this year, to which she replied, a "fatter version of Amy Winehouse and a skinnier version of Lily Allen." Katy said that she is sorry for the remarks made and that she was just trying to be funny.
Lily Allen had reportedly been upset by the remark, and publicly expressed her discontent on UK Radio.
50 cent Releases Download Only Single
If you've been waiting impatiently for the new 50 cent album, not to worry. The rapper is set to deliver a little sneak peak.
50, who recently pushed back the release of his new album Before I self Destruct to 2009, will release a download-only single entitled "Get up" on December 21. The album will feature 50 working with Eminem and Dr. Dre for the first time since 2003.
Both Eminem and Dr. Dre will also be releasing solo albums next year.
