Live Earth India Scrapped After Mumbai Attacks
Several high-profile acts have been forced to pull out of this month's Live Earth charity concert, following the recent attacks in Mumbai.
Bon Jovi, Pink Floyd and Black Eyed Peas singer Will.i.am, will all be forgoing the trip to the Indian city after a devastating attack by terrorists that killed 195 people. Organizers have cancelled the show that was scheduled for December 7, saying that they were shocked and saddened by the tragic events.
Proceeds from Live Earth India were set to go to several charity projects that would benefit rural Indian homes.
Bangkok 100 Rock Festival Cancelled Due To Civil Unrest
The highly anticipated Bangkok 100 Rock Festival due to happen in Thailand last weekend, was scrapped due to civil unrest.
The rock concert was to feature international acts like Welsh band Manic Street Preachers, Ash and Hoobastank, but was called off at the last minute. Thai anti-government protestors had taken control of the capital city's two airports last Tuesday, and have since barred flights in and out of Bangkok.
The Bangkok 100 Rock festival was a 2-day event that was to see more than 60,000 people in attendance.
Kylie Minogue To Release Remix Album
If you can't get enough of pop superstar Kylie Minogue, do not fret. The singer is planning to release another album.
Kylie, who recently performed at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, will be releasing a new album featuring remixes of her songs. The album kicks off with a mash-up of her hit "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" and the cult classic "Blue Monday" by British '80s band New Order.
The Chemical Brothers will also feature on this album, which is set for release early 2009.
Angels And Airwaves In Singapore
San Diego-based alternative rock band Angels and Airwaves are set to kick off their South-East Asian tour in Singapore.
The rockers led by frontman, Tom Delonge, formerly from the punk outfit Blink-182, will be performing at the University Cultural Centre in Singapore this Sunday, December 7. The band is scheduled to travel to Jakarta and Bali next.

Beyonce Moved To Tears At A Drug Rehab Centre
Pop superstar turned actress Beyonce Knowles was moved to tears during research for her latest movie role.
Beyonce had visited a drug rehabilitation clinic in Brooklyn and was so moved by the plights of the recovering drug addicts, that she broke down into tears. The R&B singer is set to play soul legend Etta James who battled numerous drug issues in her latest movie Cadillac Records.
Beyonce has claimed she has learnt more about life and herself from the visit.
