Angels and Airwaves 'Live' in Singapore
By News Desk
San Diego-based Angels and Airwaves will engage with their fans for the first time in Singapore on December 7, and here is where their South East Asian adventure begins.
Also known as "AVA," the alternative rock group consists of frontman and former Blink-182 guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge, guitarist David Kennedy, drummer Atom Willard, and bassist Matt Wachter.
Since AVA released their first album, We Don't Need to Whisper in 2006, which went to #4 on the Billboard 200 and I-Empire in 2007, the band's schedule has been anything but dull. They played to packed venues in the United States, Europe, Canada, Japan and headlined the 2008 Vans Warped, a touring music and extreme sports festival. AVA has also recently concluded their US tour with Los Angeles band, Weezer.
Here is a band with a mission and their call to arms in December, for all AVA supporters to rise and gather as a unified voice in alternative music.
From Singapore, the adventure will continue in Jakarta and Bali before the band starts recording their third album in January 2009.
