AC/DC Handed Their Own Day

Rock legends AC/DC are on tour again after a 7 year hiatus, and adding on to the rave reviews they have received, the rockers will be handed their very own day.

Vancouver will proclaim November 28 AC/DC Day, commemorating the day when Angus and Malcolm Young and their bandmates arrived in town. The Canadian city is also where the band recorded their hit album Black Ice.

AC/DC's world tour will run till April next year, and have already sold out most of their concerts.


The Killers' Festive Collaboration With Elton John

Indie rock band The Killers have confirmed that they are recording a single with the piano Man Elton John.

The American musicians will team up with Sir Elton on a new Christmas number entitled "Joseph Better You Than Me." This will be the third festive song the group has recorded after "A Great Big Sled" and "Don't Shoot Me Santa."

The Killers will release their new studio album Day and Age later this month.

Amy Winehouse Attacks Paparazzi Outside Home

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is in the news once again, this time after attacking members of the paparazzi outside her London home.

The singer lashed out at photographers, attempting to snatch their lenses just hours after her husband Blake Fielder-Civil was released from prison. Winehouse had to be restrained by her security team, but was pictured later in tears.

Winehouse is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital for a lung infection.


ZoukOut 2008
