Estelle & Kanye West To Perform At 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards

MTV Networks International revealed that Estelle and Kanye West are the latest two artists that will perform at the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards which will be broadcast live from the Liverpool Echo Arena, Liverpool - European Capital of Culture - on Thursday, November 6 and are sponsored by edc by Esprit, Sony Ericsson and Dell. Fans in Asia can catch the show on MTV Asia on Friday, November 7 at 8pm in Singapore and 9pm in Malaysia.

"With Estelle and Kanye West joining the line-up in Liverpool, MTV can definitely claim credit for the broadest range of artists for any live show this year," said Richard Godfrey, Senior Vice President, Music and Production & Executive Producer, MTV Europe Music Awards. "With both artists performing for the first time at the Awards, this is a real coup for MTV's global audience."

Fresh from her massive success at the recent Mobo Awards for Best UK Female and Best Song for "American Boy," London-born Estelle is making her MTV Europe Music Awards debut.

Kanye West returns to the MTV Europe Music Awards for the second time after scooping the award for Best Hip Hop at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards (Copenhagen). As well as performing for the first time Kanye West is nominated in the Ultimate Urban category alongside fellow performer Beyoncé.

With the countdown in its final phase until the live show on Thursday, November 6, MTV audiences only have just over a week to vote to ensure that their artists win in ten of the eleven categories.
