Britney Spears Has Multiple Personalities In 'Womanizer' Video
By Jocelyn Vena (MTV.com)
Britney Spears assumes multiple sassy personalities in the video for her new single "Womanizer," according to photos released by Jive Records. The video, shot last month in Los Angeles, is set to debut this Friday at 10pm on ABC's 20/20.
In one scene from the clip, directed by Joseph Khan (who helmed "Stronger" and "Toxic"), Spears sports her signature blond hair, a sexy bedtime robe and bra. In another photo from the shoot, we see Britney going for a sexy/scary businesswoman look in horn-rimmed glasses, a black bob, leather skirt and striped sweater. She appears to be about to give her co-worker either a lap dance or a beating.
In a final still from the video, Spears reprises her role as a waitress, but unlike the perky pigtailed server she played in (You Drive Me) Crazy,"" this time she vamps it up in black leather and a brunet wig.
The song is the first single off her new album, Circus, set to come out on December 2, her 27th birthday. "Womanizer" made its radio debut on September 26 on New York's Z100. The following week, Spears stopped by the station to talk about the song. "['Womanizer' is] basically saying, 'We know what you're up to.' It's about guys cheating on girls," she said. "It's a girl anthem. That's why I like it. So, hopefully, the fans will see it that way too!"
She also revealed that she has plans to tour in support of Circus in 2009. "Oh, definitely next year," she said when asked about touring possibilities. "Probably around the world."
