Quick Cuts - Beyonce To Work With JT, Ashlee Expecting Twins?, and More!

Indie Music Lovers Have Low Self-Esteem?

According to a study done in a Scottish University, what's in your mp3 player might just reveal more about your personality than you think.

The study, done in a survey of over 36,000 people, showed that indie music lovers tend to suffer from low self-esteem, while rap fans are outgoing. If you bop your head to rock 'n' roll, chances are you are creative and hard-working. Dance music fans were found to be equally outgoing, but more unfriendly and self-centred.

So the next time you put music in your mp3, bear this in mind!

Ashlee Expecting Twins?

Other than Britney's sweep of the awards and the spectacular performances, there was another talking point at the recent VMAs, and that is, Ashlee Simpsons' baby bump.

Ashlee's bigger-than-usual tummy has led to speculations that she and husband, Pete Wentz, are expecting twins. A friend of the couple has revealed to newspapers that it's double happiness for the proud parents.

Pete might have let the cat out of the bag when he referred to the babies as 'them' in an interview done earlier this year.

Noel Gallagher Assaulted

Given Noel Gallagher's habit of badmouthing others, I suppose he could expect a little payback. But who knew it would come in the hands of a concert-goer?

During Toronto's V Festival, a man somehow managed to climb onto the stage while Oasis were performing "Morning Glory," and shoved Noel into his audio monitors. The assailant tried to take a swing at brother Liam, but was subdued by security.

Noel was visibly shaken by the incident, and after the show, was taken to hospital to be examined. The perpetrator has since been charged with assault.

Madonna Dedicates 'Like A Virgin' To Pope

Never one to shy away from controversy, Madonna has now decided to dedicate her 1984 hit "Like a Virgin" to the Pope. Madonna gave the pontiff that dubious honor, in front of 60,000 fans at her show in Rome over the weekend.

The Vatican had previously disapproved of the music video for the song, "Like A Prayer" when it was released in 1989, as it showed burning crosses and the singer seducing a black Jesus.

Ironically, Madonna comes from an Italian Catholic family.

Beyonce To Work With Justin Timberlake

Despite earlier comments that she is sick of being a pop star, Beyonce is planning on releasing her third solo album in November.

B is reportedly headed into studios to record the album, and is bringing Justin Timberlake in tow. JT has revealed that he is writing and producing some tracks for the songstress.

The two performed a duet together at the New York Fashion Rocks event, covering Motown classic "Aint Nothing Like The Real Thing."
